Our teachers are qualified, professional, experienced and most importantly, passionate dancers themselves.

Emily Briddock


Emily is the Director of Genesis Dance Academy. Her passion drives the Academy and her goal is to consistently offer a high quality of extra-curricular dance classes for children aged Prep to Year 12 in Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Tap and Jazz.

Amanda Bayford Clark

RAD Classical Ballet

Amanda has been teaching dance in private studios for over 20 years and is a Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and a Higher Diploma in Dance Education. Amanda is passionate about developing the love of dance and performance in her students, and feels strongly about the benefits of dance for all ages. Amanda brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in dance teaching to Genesis Dance Academy, as well as a contagious passion and joy for the art.

Sarah Spina

RAD Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tiny Stars

Sarah started her dancing career at a young age and has progressed quickly into her passion of teaching dance. Sarah moved to Brisbane in 2015 following a successful audition to dance full time with the Australian Dance Performance Institute (ADPI) where she gained her Diploma in Classical and Contemporary Dance in Elite Performance and her Advanced Diploma in Elite Performance. Sarah has performed in many competitions across Qld and NSW and has also had the opportunity to dance with two major Australian Contemporary Companies, understudying them for the week. Sarah is now teaching at several studios across Brisbane and is the head choreographer at Brisbane Girls Grammar School. In 2017 she will begin her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Certificate in Ballet Training, to become a Registered RAD Teacher. Her goal is to pass on her passion and love of dance to her students and further her contemporary and classical choreography work. We are very excited to have Sarah teaching Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and our Tiny Stars classes at Genesis Dance Academy.

Stefanie Samuels

Jazz, Contemporary

Stefanie has been dancing her way across the stage from the young age of four. She has studied Ballet, Contemporary, Tap and Jazz for the past twenty years and has completed a three-year Bachelor of Musical Theatre degree. Stefanie has since taught Ballet, Contemporary, Tap and Jazz at a private dance school for four years in Brisbane. She has completed a Diploma of Education and for the last two years has taught dance at Pimlico State High School. She is excited to continue imparting her knowledge of dance and sharing her passion with her students.

Jessica West

Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary

Miss Jessica West has many years of performance experience in all genres. Jessica studied classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and tap, and completed her RAD Ballet Exams to Advanced Level 1. After training in a full time classical ballet school, she is currently in her second year studying at Conroys Performing Arts School. She has taught ballet, jazz and tap previously on the Sunshine Coast and we are very excited to welcome her to our Genesis Dance family.

Sian Everleigh

Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary

Miss Sian trained full time and completed her Certificate IV with Raw Performing Arts, and has worked professionally as a dancer and performer. Sian performs with Mega Jam Crew and has taught Hip Hop for a number of studios around Brisbane.
